Our history and our land

Domaine de Labarthe is located on the hillsides of the right bank of the Tarn , in the commune of CASTANET, in the canton of Gaillac . Domaine de Labarthe is 10 km from Cordes-sur-Ciel and its 13th-century medieval town and 15 km from Albi and its episcopal city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Albert family has owned the Domaine de Labarthe since 1550 , as authentic documents in the name of Guillaume Albert attest. The story accelerated from the 1920s with the first direct sales: Camille sold his Mauzac "bourrus" in Paris. Then, in the 1950s, René took over by marketing the first bottles of wine ...
